WHAT TO EXPECT

You'll settle into a private room. The care team explains each step. A local anesthetic or light sedation keeps you comfortable.

WHAT YOU NEED

Fasting for 6–8 hours prior, as instructed. Loose, comfortable clothing.

  • The Procedure

WHAT TO EXPECT

Lasting about 5–10 minutes. The cervix is gently dilated and the pregnancy is removed with a small instrument or gentle suction. You may feel pressure but not sharp pain.

  • Recovery & Discharge

WHAT TO EXPECT

You rest in a calm recovery space for 30–60 minutes. Light bleeding and mild cramping are normal. You're discharged the same day.

WHAT YOU NEED

A ride home, rest, and pads. Avoid heavy activity for 1–2 days
